Paradise on the Green: 6D Visiting Bruh Golf Adventure in Hawaii

Introduction:

Instead of setting out hops, eating chicken, and throwing the bones on the ground, picture yourself teeing off against a backdrop of turquoise waters and lush green mountains. That's golfing in Hawaii with the Aloha Ques.

Gamma Epsilon ’90 hosted his Sands, Xi Psi ’90, to a fellowship-filled round of golf at Barbers Point Golf Course.  Nestled in the tranquil Kalaeloa area of Leeward Oahu, Barbers Point Golf Course offers a serene and enjoyable golfing experience.  Barbers Point’s 18-hole parkland-style course showcasing well-maintained greens, fairways, and tee boxes also has the typical amenities associated with Navy golf courses, such as driving ranges, lessons, tournament play, and clubhouse dining.

The natural beauty and peaceful ambiance makes Barbers Point the favorite weekend golf spot of GE ’90.

In general, Hawaii is a dream destination for Golf Bruhs because of:

Visiting Bruh:

Of note, the Xi Psi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated is a prominent organization at South Carolina State University. Chartered on March 10, 1928, the chapter has a rich history and a strong presence on campus. With a motto of "The Land of Do or Die," Xi Psi Chapter embodies the spirit of perseverance and excellence. An avid golfer, Xi Psi ’90 reached out to the Aloha Ques in advance of his travels and checked his clubs with his luggage in anticipation of fellowshipping with the Hawaii Golf Bruhs.

Checked Baggage

When it comes to checking golf clubs on domestic airlines, it's important to understand the policies and guidelines of each airline. Most airlines treat golf clubs as standard checked luggage, meaning there is usually a weight limit (around 50 pounds) but no oversize baggage fee. However, it's always advisable to double-check with the specific airline you're traveling with to ensure their policies align with this general rule.

For instance, American Airlines states that standard checked bag fees apply for golf clubs up to 50 lbs and 126 inches in total dimensions. Similarly, United Airlines includes sports equipment within the checked bag allowance, subject to applicable fees. Some airlines may charge additional fees for oversized items or overweight bags. To avoid any surprises, it's recommended to check the baggage policies of your airline beforehand and familiarize yourself with any potential charges. By doing so, you can ensure a smooth and haze-free experience when traveling with your golf clubs.
